Central bank says starts collecting bids to sell Asia-Pacific Bank
MOSCOW, Apr 30 (PRIME) -- Russia’s central bank has started collecting investor bids for the sale of Asia-Pacific Bank, whose form will be chosen after all bids are collected, the regulator said in a statement on Friday.
“The Bank of Russia announces the beginning of collection of messages from the entities interested in the procedure of a share sale of Asia-Pacific Bank. … Following the results of consideration of the messages, the Bank of Russia will decide on further way of selling the bank’s shares, and will notify about that further,” the statement read.
The regulator launched a bailout in Asia-Pacific Bank through the Banking Sector Consolidation Fund in 2018. In September, the authority bought a 9 billion ruble issue of additional shares of the bank, acquiring a 99.9% stake in it.
